Breast Cancer Screening Tools for Identifying High Risk Patients
Utilize Progeny Genetics High Risk Breast Triage tool to quickly identify patients for consideration of annual breast MRI, genetic counseling and/or testing. Patients complete an online questionnaire via tablet in the waiting room or at home to obtain personal and family history of cancer. Progeny calculates the patient’s lifetime risk for breast cancer via the Tyrer Cuzick risk model to determine if the patient meets criteria for annual breast MRI. Progeny also compares the patient’s family history to published referral guidelines for genetic counseling and/or testing to identify patients at risk for hereditary breast and ovarian cancer syndromes.
