New Product Options
Progeny LIMS
Progeny LIMS is a new product in the Progeny line. Progeny LIMS gives you the ability to manage any number of samples and aliquots in a multi-level inventory system. Support for custom workflows, barcode scanning and printing, chain of custody, and extensive security is included.
Progeny LIMS Mobile Client
The Progeny LIMS Mobile client extends the LIMS product to sophisticated Motorola handheld devices. You are not required to be attached to a desktop to manage inventory real time.
Progeny Web Client
The new Progeny web client provides another method of accessing your data and a new architecture for Progeny. A powerful web client gives you a new level of flexibillity in providing access to your data. Use the web client to provide access to your department, your institution, or the world.
Interface
Smart Search and Context Search
Search is now a big part of the Progeny experience. The new Smart Search feature searches across the database. Instant search results allow you to hyperlink and navigate quickly. Context sensitive search is available directly on the navigation tabs.
New Data Sheet Features and Improvements
The data sheets are redesigned at all levels. Convenient features that you have requested are now available. Data sheets now include the option to combine data types. Data sheet formats are now available. Fields and tabs can be copied and pasted across data sheets.
New Spreadsheet Features and Improvements
The spreadsheets have been redesigned at all levels and now include complex filtering, new sort options, and new edit operations.Autosize Pedigree Based on Subtext Size
The ability to SmartDraw or autosize the pedigree based on subtext size is now included in the pedigree.
Data Management
Genotype Import Improvements
The genotype imports have been redesigned to improve performance. Operations previously taking hours now take minutes. Larger marker sets such as the Affy 6.0 array import at a rate of about 30 seconds per CHP file. The new Affymetrix CHP file formats are directly supported.Integration with Golden Helix
An integration with Golden Helix analysis tools - SNP and Variation Suite is now standard with Progeny Lab.
Sample and Pedigree Auditing

Manage Samples Independant of Individuals
Samples can now be managed independent of individuals. It is not necessary to identify an individual to associate with a sample. Individuals can be assigned to or detached from samples.

Genotypes can now be stored at the sample level.
SubPedigree Enhancements
Subpedigree functionality creation and management is now improved. View the subpedigrees from the navigation windows.
Integration with Golden Helix
An integration with the Golden Helix analysis tools is a standard part of Progeny Lab.
