The trial period will allow you 20 accesses to the database.

After my trial period is complete, what will happen to my data?
The data that you entered during the trial will remain in the trial database until you purchase the product. After you are officially registered, you will be able to access the data again.

Can I create my own database during the trial?
You cannot create a new database during the trial. You can add data to the sample database that can later be transferred to a new database after you purchase the software.

Am I eligible to receive support during my trial period?
Yes, all of our trial users receive free product support during their trial. You can fill out our online support form, or you can call us toll free at 1-800-PROGENY (574-968-0822 for International users).

What are the system requirements for the program?
Clinical: Server: Windows 2000/2003, Linux or Novell Server; 450 Mhz; 1GB RAM minimum; 300 MB HD free space. Client PC: Microsoft Windows 2000/NT/XP/Vista; 300 Mhz; 512 MB RAM optimal; 80MB HD free space
Lab, LIMS: Server: Windows 2000/2003, Linux or Novell Server; 1GB RAM (2GB recommended), 1GB hard drive space recommended. Client PC: Windows 2000/XP/Vista; 1GB recommended, 150MB HD free space

Is Progeny Macintosh compatible?
Yes, Progeny will be able to run on a Macintosh that has Virtual PC installed on it.

Can I receive a trial cd? I am unable to download because of network restrictions.
Yes, we can ship you a trial cd. Please fill out our online support form and request a trial cd to be sent to you. Please include your mailing address.
I would like to have more time to evaluate the software. Can I extend my trial period?
If you are interested in a trial period extension, please fill out our online support form. We will contact you will additional information regarding this request.
How do I purchase this program?
If you are interested in purchasing we can provide you with an official quote for the products that interest you. You can request a quote by filling out an online quote request form. A sales representative will contact you with the information that you requested.
What is my UserID and password?
Your default userid and password is “progeny”. You can change your userid and password to your own specifications after the initial login process. Please note that Progeny Software does not keep track of any userid and password changes.
How do I change my UserID and password?
First login to Progeny using the default login and password. Then choose “Administration” from the main screen. From the drop-down select “Users”. This will display a screen that allows you to add a new user. Enter the User ID name and password of your choice and select the security levels for this user, then click “Add”. The newly added name should now appear in the table below. Close out of Progeny and login with the new user information.
When trying to download the free trial I receive the following message: "THE INSTALLATION PACKAGE COULD NOT BE OPENED. CONTACT THE APPLICATION VENDOR TO VERIFY THIS IS A VALID WINDOWS INSTALLER PACKAGE". How should I proceed?
This installation error message occurs when the server is overloaded with download requests. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please remove the installation from your pc and try to download the application again.
