How to Upgrade to Progeny 7

Progeny Support Plan (PSP) Members

Customers currently on the Progeny Support Plan are entitled to a free upgrade to version 7 of their respective products.

Step 1 - Request and Install the Upgrade

Go to PSP Member Upgrade and fill out the online upgrade form. If your department has multiple licenses, you can fill out up to 5 licenses on this form, or attach a file with all your licenses. If attaching a file, be sure to include the user name and serial number for each license.
You will need to know each product's serial number for the form. If you do not know your serial number, you can find the serial number that was entered within the software under Help - About Progeny. You must be on at least version 5 in order to upgrade to Progeny 7.
After filling out the form, you will be emailed a link with further instructions to download, install and register the upgrade.
After installing the upgrade, you must register your Progeny 7 software before you can convert your Progeny 5 or Progeny 6 database.

Step 2 - Register the Upgrade

From the Product Registration screen within the software, click the 'Create File' button to create a license file.
Name the file the Progeny 7 Serial Number that was assigned to you (ie. 7xxxxx) via email or on the back of your Progeny 7 CD case.
Fill out the online registration form and include your license file. We will email you a registration file within 1 business day.
After receiving an email with your registration file, save the file to the application folder where you installed Progeny 7 (default location is C:/Program Files/Progeny Software/Progeny7).
After starting the software, you should not see the registration screen anymore. Keep a copy of this license file somewhere on your PC in case you need to re-install the software again.
