New Product Add-Ons

These new product offerings are available as add-ons to Version 8 customers:

Web-Based Family History Questionnaire
A major new add-on for Progeny 8 allows for patients, collaborators, and study participants to securely access and update Progeny data via the web in the form of a family-history questionnaire.

Sample Requests and Order Processing
Biorepositories are able to provide a web-based application where users can browse their sample inventory and place sample orders or requests.

Progeny API
With the Progeny API, you can directly access functionality within Progeny without going through the user interface. Automatically generate pedigree images that can be directly integrated into your EMR. Use the Progeny API to extend your current databases and applications into Progeny.

Progeny iPad (Beta)
The native Progeny iPad application allows you to work with your pedigrees directly on the iPad and iPhone devices.

New Feature Spotlight

Tasks and Reminders System
Schedule custom tasks to be performed within Progeny, and optionally set reminders for each task. Organize and view tasks by any status, date, priority or user.

New Core Features

These new features are available in all 3 products:

Interface improvements designed to make navigation and everyday tasks easier
New Tasks and Reminders System has been added
Table Summary and Summary fields are now available for all field types
Global search has been improved and context search for database fields has been added
Significant security improvements have been made throughout the software
Progeny is now LDAP enabled to ease security configuration in environments with many users
Updated all database components resulting in significantly faster performance
System administrators can now run field audit reports on all data fields that are marked for auditing.

Progeny Clinical

Improved/sharper pedigree graphics for screen, print and image files
Added the ability to merge pedigrees
Improved import/export of pedigrees into other progeny databases
Generate more optimized pedigrees with our updated pedigree algorithms
Integrate with an online Family History Questionnaire to record data remotely and dump directly into the Progeny database
Option to view the pedigree and spreadsheet within the same window

Progeny LIMS

Scan Mode has been redesigned
Key system fields such as Container Path and Container Barcode have been added
Workflows are now security enabled
Auditing and chain of custody logs are now included
Intuitive redesign of the sample scanner interface
Improved batch handling and batch sample creation
“Browse to Container” enabled for reactions
Enhanced administrative control over actions and workflows
Chain of Custody audit reporting for all actions marked for auditing

Progeny Lab

Genotypes can now be imported at the sample level
Speed improvement within the software
An update to Version 8 will include several enhanced features for users. Scheduled for 1st Qtr 2011.
