Analysis Exports
Linkage
- Format to Standard Linkage Files
Progeny Lab formats your data into standard linkage format files and generates a .pre file and .dat file (including calculating allele frequencies from your data set). The user nominates each individual to be exported to linkage and defines the genetic linkage model (several models can be used on the one data set). - Track Exports to Linkage Models
The generation of this standard file allows the user to output in a format that is not tied to a specific algorithm. The linkage data can then be used in any number of different genetic linkage based packages (MLINK, MERLIN, MENDEL, GENEHUNTER, ALLEGRO, etc). Progeny Lab keeps a record of all exports. - Import and Track LOD Scores
Progeny Lab allows the import of two-point linkage data back into the database. Results can be stored on a per pedigree and per marker basis. The software allows you to import from analysis using several disease models and will store each of these (eg a dominantly inherited model and a recessive model). - View LOD Scores on the Pedigree
The LOD Score data can be viewed on the pedigree allowing the user to scroll through the results on a per chromosome basis (matching directly with Progeny icon subtext).
Association
- Format to Association Files
Query individuals along with phenotypic data to include in association analysis exports. The association data is exported to a number of different formats (FBAT, QTDT etc). - Import Resulting Analysis Data
After calculating family-based or case-control association study data, you can import the results directly in Progeny Lab. Progeny Lab keeps a record of all exports.
