In Progeny, you can click on the Indiv SS button on the toolbar to create a spreadsheet. I would recommend using the System Field, Global ID, in your spreadsheet in addition to the other fields that you wish to see. Then click Run. You will see one row per individual in this spreadsheet when it populates. You can now click the Export button on the toolbar to export the data out of Progeny. Save the data in text tab delimited form. This can be opened by Excel. Name the file and save it to your pc. Now you can open that file in Excel and manipulate the data. The file must be saved in the tab delimited format in order to import back into Progeny. In Progeny you can run the same spreadsheet again then click the Import button and select the file that you were working with. You will have 1 column (the global ID) that will match during the import, then it will dump the rest of the data based on your column order. After you have imported the file, you must click Save to save the changes. If you are not satisfied with the import, then you can close the spreadsheet to ignore the changes.

If you have questions specific to the data export/import that you are working with, feel free to send an email to support for more assistance!

Yes you can import data into table rows.

On the import dialog window there is an option for "Import into tables only".

You will align your table columns in the spreadsheet with the data in the import file's columns. Your match columns will be tied to flat fields. Your data will appear as new table rows. This process may not be obvious at first glance but if you run a small spreadsheet using flat fields followed by table fields and import a simple file it will become clear.
