I have a user that has not used the database for a while. We do not see her username in the dropdown field for the login. I have asked the user to change her password, her name did not appear; I have deleted her as a user and added her again (with all the settings she is allowed to), her name still did not appear. Do I forget something in the procedure?

The user name drop down on the login screen will populate any of the user names that have been entered for that computer. It works much like the "populate old searches" feature for search engines. All you need to do is type in her user name and log in one time. After that, her user name should populate in the drop down.

One of the users in my lab had the exact same problem. I think the system how it is now is not intuitive. If you want to make it like the "populate old searches" feature for search engines then do not include the drop-down option. It is a confusing solution.
