Is there any way to set rules on how or when data is entered into a field?

    Examples:

-Answered "No" to breast cancer, so you should not be able to enter a diagnosis age
-Cannot save without entering certain fields

    etc...

Progeny version 7.5.00 and higher has the option of setting field validations on existing fields or new fields that are in your database. You can set up the following validations on fields in the database:

    -Required Field
    -Must Confirm Data Entry
    -Unique Value
    -Within Specific Range
    -Specific Mask
    -Maximum Number of Characters
-Field Dependant Validation (specifying how the field data relates to another field of the same field type)

If you go to the 'Help' drop down in Progeny and select the 'User Manual' then you can search for the topic 'Validations' and see the help file with more information for setting this feature up in your Progeny database.
