Security
Progeny Clinical provides robust security at all levels of access within the database. View our Security Datasheet for a complete breakdown of our security features.
- User and Class Based Security
User and class based security applies restrictions on what each user can perform or view. Allow or prevent access to folders, fields, pedigrees, individuals, samples and the database itself. General permissions such as access to spreadsheets, fields, markers, and form design are also available. Auditing options allow for tracking passwords, logins, previous entry, new entry and user info with a date/time stamp. - Set Security on Specific Folders, Pedigrees, Individuals, Samples, or Fields
Define custom read/write restrictions per user or class on folders, pedigrees, individuals, samples or fields. Folder level security makes it possible for several institutions or groups to share a single database. This flexibility is ideal for setting up scenarios where one group of users is not able to read or to modify another group's data. Each institution may be unaware of the other members. - HIPAA Compliancy
Progeny's security meets HIPAA compliancy regulations to ensure data privacy.
